Trump Can Sue Pequots for Being ‘Fired’

Hartford – The Donald, who was fired, can sue in state court. A federal judge has ruled that lawsuit filed by a Burlington investor and real estate mogul Donald Trump over development of a planned Eastern Pequot casino will be heard in state court.

Trump and J.D. DeMatteo say they have binding contracts with the Eastern Pequots. They claim the competing investors “hijacked” the tribe with payoffs and other unlawful activities.
